FAQs:
Q: What do I need to do in order to attend the event?
A: Register prior to attending, or we can register you on-site.
Q: How do I register for the event?
A: Select your event and click the "Register" button
Q: Where do I get the QR code?
A: The QR code is provided upon registration. It will be sent via email.
Q: Do I need to bring a hard copy of my resume?
A: No. You can tie your resume to your professional profile. For this reason we encourage every job seeker to create a profile on RecruitMilitary.com since their profile can be accessed by recruiters as they scan your QR code. Your resume can also be created via your profile with our resume generation tool.
Q: How do I apply for the jobs on the job board?
A: Simply select the job you wish to apply for, review, and click "Apply Now".
Q: Does my profile automatically update? How do I save the data added to my profile?
A: Your data/information is automatically saved as you enter it into the fields of your profile.
Q: Will the employers have access to my profile and how do they gain access to my profile?
A: Yes. Each employer has access to all job-seekers who are scanned at the event. For virtual events, all employers have access to the attendance list and attendee profiles. NOTE: Make sure you have a completed RM profile to at least 80% completion so you can be visible to employers. The more complete your RM profile is, the more visible you become to employers.
Q: How long will it take for me to hear from the employer after the event?
A: This depends on the organization's follow-up protocol. This can range from a day to a few weeks, depending on their internal practices. We encourage job seekers to follow up via email or LinkedIn post event to thank the recruiters for their time.
Q: Do I need to wear a suit and tie?
A: No. Professional attire is always best practice, but business casual is very common and an acceptable dress code for our Hiring Events.
Q: Are they hiring on the spot?
A: All attending companies are actively hiring and when they find the right fit, many times they will hire on the spot!
Q: Do employers conduct interviews at the event?
A: This depends on the organization and the individuals representing the organization during the event. If an organization has their Hiring Manager present at the event or a Recruiter has been delegated responsibility to screen candidates, interviews might be conducted during the event.

Resume FAQs:
Q: Where can I find additional resume resources?
A: Visit our Resource Center or Military Spouse Resource Center.
Q: Where can I create a resume if I do not have one yet?
A: Your resume can be created via your RecruitMilitary professional profile with our resume generation tool.
Q: Which format is best? Chronological, Functional, Combined or CV?
A: A chronological resume is a common format most employers anticipate seeing. A functional resume is a viable option for those who have had career pivots, people who have little work experience and are just getting started in their career (ex. graduates), or those who’ve been out of the workforce for an extended period. A combined resume uses a blend of chronological and functional formats. A CV format is mainly utilized by professionals such as professors, teachers, lawyers, scientists, etc. There isn’t a "best" format but rather a format that can be used based on your circumstance.
Q: Why should I target or “keyword” my resume?
A: Employers are utilizing resume scanners and applicant tracking systems through the volume of applicants. Adapt your resume by adding the words or phrasing that align with the jobs you’re applying for. Review the job description and maximize your resume’s keyword density to achieve success.
Q: Once I’ve uploaded my resume to my profile, how do I apply for jobs on the RecruitMilitary job board?
A: Simply select the job you wish to apply for, review, and click "Apply Now".
