RecruitMilitary Veteran Job Fair Coming to Pittsburgh on March 24
“RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a solid track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment,” said President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson, a former Captain in the Marine Corps. “Just last year, 55% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair, and employers were expected to extend as many as 29,000 interviews and more than 9,000 job offers.”
In October of 2015, the RecruitMilitary Pittsburgh event connected more than 277 veteran job seekers with 53 exhibitors, including Lockheed Martin, General Electric, and Cintas. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 434 interviews and make up to 193 job offers as a result of that career fair.
RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006, and has held 10 events in Pittsburgh, drawing 2,142 attendees and 416 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country. RecruitMilitary will return to Pittsburgh for an additional veteran career fair in October.
