Veteran Talent in the Agriculture Industry Case Study

Connecting Veterans and Employers in the Agriculture Industry

The team at John Deere was equipped to hire veterans but needed new avenues to connect with the population.

As an organization with multiple locations and hiring needs, John Deere turned to RecruitMilitary to increase their access and reach within the military community.

Our Solution

To optimize their reach into this niche group, John Deere started utilizing RecruitMilitary Service Solution (RMS²), which provides training and access to RecruitMilitary hiring events and other tools all year long.

“We wanted to get the word out that we are excited to hire military-affiliated talent and are continuing to grow in this area. Even though we’ve made great strides, [in our military attraction and retention efforts] there’s still so much potential,” said Cassie, Military Outreach Coordinator at John Deere.

Attending military base job fairs has given her team ‘boots on the ground.’

Outcome

As a result of training, attending RecruitMilitary job fairs, and hiring qualified individuals from the military community, John Deere has improved representation of the military branches within the organization.

“RecruitMilitary has been a massive help for us in bringing in different branches of the military. Not all the branches of the military function the same. Training through RMS² has been great in helping us to bridge the branch gap.”
