Frequently Asked Questions About SkillBridge Regulations

What regulation covers SkillBridge?

SkillBridge is authorized under Title 10 U.S.C. §1143(e) and implemented through DoDI 1322.29. Each military branch may also publish additional service-specific guidance.

Can my commander deny SkillBridge?

Yes. SkillBridge participation is not an entitlement. Commanders may approve, deny, modify, or terminate participation based on mission requirements, readiness, conduct, timing, and service-specific policy.

How long can I participate in SkillBridge?
