Take the Next Step in Your Job Search with the DAV/RecruitMilitary CSP

Welcome to the DAV/RecruitMilitary Candidate Success Program (CSP).

We are here to help you make the most of the resources, job opportunities, and mentoring services offered by RecruitMilitary and our partners.

STEP 1:

FILL OUT YOUR RECRUITMILITARY PROFILE.

Get as close to 100% completion by uploading your resume if you haven’t already. If needed, use our resume builder tool. The more details you provide, the better your results will be! (See this video for more details.)

STEP 2:

APPLY TO AS MANY JOBS OF INTEREST ON THE JOB BOARD.

Don’t put too much stock into the job description. Look for the skills and requirements that match what you know you bring to the table! (See this video for more details.)

STEP 3:

SIGN UP FOR A CAREER FAIR.

Search the employers attending ahead of time and then speak to recruiters in real time at an event near you. DAV | RecruitMilitary offers in-person and virtual events to serve our CONUS and OCONUS job seekers. (See this video for more information.)

STEP 4.

REFERENCE THE JOB SEEKER RESOURCE CENTER.

Find insight on resume creation, interview preparation, and how to win at career fairs.

STEP 5.

SUBSCRIBE TO SEARCH & EMPLOY MAGAZINE.

This free digital publication provides guidance for every stage of your career.

STEP 6.

FIND YOUR LOCAL DAV OFFICE.

As one of the “Top 3 Veteran Service Organizations (VSO) in America,” DAV exists to support our military community with access to local, state, and federal benefits (health, education, and more). They also stand ready to support service men and women with processing their VA claims.

STEP 7.

APPLY FOR MENTORSHIP WITH AMERICAN CORPORATE PARTNERS.

American Corporate Partners is a military community mentorship program. Service men and women are paired with business leaders (directors, VPs, and C-suite execs) that help them in their professional journey. This program is open to both job seekers who are currently transitioning and those already in a career who also want to better themselves professionally. This program is also available to active duty Military Spouses.
