Article profiles a former BMI military job seeker and quotes a company executive
Atlanta, Georgia, March 4, 2007 – Bradley-Morris, Inc. (BMI), the largest military job placement firm in the U.S., was recently featured in an article in USAToday’s Money section (click here for full article; click here for the print version). The piece was entitled “More employers recruit the military work ethic” and highlighted the advantages of hiring military who are seeking civilian jobs. Positive military job seeker attributes that were mentioned include having a “strong work ethic, leadership skills and diverse backgrounds.”
Former BMI candidate and current General Electric employee Keith “KC” Newton was interviewed for the article. Newton is now “on the other side of desk”, interviewing military job seekers for GE. In the article, he says, “’When you are hiring just anybody, you just don’t know what you get’…With a veteran, ‘It helps you define who the person is before he walks in the door.’”
“It’s important for employers to be able to trust the caliber of candidates when they invest their time for interviews,” says Shaun Bradley, co-CEO and president, Bradley-Morris. Sandra (Sandy) Morris, co-CEO and treasurer, added, “This is a key benefit that BMI clients enjoy. Employers have come to rely on us to deliver upper-echelon candidates who are a fit for their open positions.”
Ms. Morris was also quoted in the USAToday piece. When discussing the critical nature of the resume and interview training BMI provides to their candidates, she noted, “A lot of these individuals have never interviewed a day in their life.”
