RecruitMilitary In-Person Career Fair Guide
We’re excited to have you join us at an upcoming in-person career fair. Use this guide to stay prepared and informed before your event.
STEP 1: Identify Client User Types & Roles
After registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email right away. Soon after, you’ll also receive an invitation to log in and create your event team in myRecruitMilitary. Within the platform, there are three types of users:
- Organizer – Manages representatives and events in myRecruitMilitary and serves as the main point of contact for the career fair.
- Attending Representative – Representatives who will be onsite at the career fair.
- Search-Only Representative – Representatives who will not attend the event but have search-only access in myRecruitMilitary.
STEP 2: Learn the Functions
myRecruitMilitary serves as your event manager. Within the platform, you can:
- Find event details
- Complete event check-in
- Scan job seeker QR codes to access professional profiles
- Search candidate profiles and resumes after the event
- Rank and make notes on profiles during and after the event
- Save and share candidate profiles with your team
Key Functions to Know
- Event Pass – Appears in myRecruitMilitary after Attending Reps complete the check-in process. Show this at the entrance for access.
- Candidate Professional Profiles – Candidates create a profile (and may upload a resume) when registering. At the event, they’ll share their profile via a QR code.
- Candidate Profile Scanner – Allows Attending Reps to scan candidate QR codes, save profiles to your event folder, and share them with your team.
STEP 3: Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How do I access myRecruitMilitary for the first time?
- Organizer: You’ll receive an email with a login link shortly after registration.
- Attending Reps & Search-Only Reps: You’ll receive a login link once your Organizer adds you to the event.
Q. Where can I find venue details like parking and booth location?
This information is emailed to Attending Reps in pre-event communications. If no Attending Reps are added, no venue information will be sent.
Q. What is the check-in process?
On the morning of the event, myRecruitMilitary sends check-in instructions to Attending Reps via email. The process takes just a few minutes on a mobile device. Once complete, the Event Pass will populate, granting event entry and booth access.
Q. How many Attending Representatives should we bring?
Most exhibitor packages include two (2) Attending Reps. To expand your team’s footprint, you may purchase an additional booth or use available credits.
Q. How can I search and save candidate profiles?
- Organizer: Gains search access once an Attending Rep checks in.
- Attending Rep: Scans job seeker QR codes during the event.
- Search-Only Rep: Gains access after your organization’s Attending Rep completes check-in.
Q. How can I increase visibility with job seekers before the event?
After registering, you can post jobs on the RecruitMilitary job board. Posting early increases visibility with registered candidates.
