GI Bill

Anyone who served at least 90-days aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001 (and were honorably discharged) OR were discharged with a service-connected disability after 30-days, are eligible for at least some financial aid. The Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) provides up to 36 months’ education benefits for former active duty personnel -- $1,321/month for full-time institutional training. The Post-9/11 GI Bill, effective August 1, 2009, provides additional benefits including: Reserve Educational Assistance Program and Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program.
