DAV RecruitMilitary Greater Seattle Veterans Job Fair May 25
LOVELAND, Ohio - May 9, 2017 - DAV and RecruitMilitary will produce a Veterans Job Fair at Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center on May 25, 2017 for veterans, transitioning military personnel, National Guard members, Reserve members and military spouses. The event will feature more than 60 Greater Seattle-area exhibitors.
"DAV RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans and their families find meaningful employment," said President Peter Gudmundsson. "Just last year, 52% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview following a DAV RecruitMilitary job fair. Employers were expected to extend as many as 40,300 interviews and more than 12,560 job offers."
Among the companies attending RecruitMilitary's Greater Seattle event are City of Seattle, City of Seattle-City Light Dept., Department of Veteran Affairs (VESO), Farmers Insurance, First Command Financial Planning, GardaWorld, General Dynamics Corporation, KeyCorp, Love's Travel Stops, Oracle Corporation, PepsiCo, Portland General Electric, Quest Diagnostics, Tempress Technologies, The Home Depot, United States Postal Service, Northrop Grumman, Waste Management and Weyerhaeuser Company. In November of 2016, the RecruitMilitary Seattle event connected more than 326 veteran job seekers with 51 exhibitors including Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority, Constellis Group, Military Sealift Command and Oracle Corporation. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 285 interviews and make up to 77 job offers following that career fair.
RecruitMilitary has held 23 events in Seattle, drawing 7,767 attendees and 881 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country.
