DAV RecruitMilitary Austin Veterans Job Fair April 6
LOVELAND, Ohio - March 3, 2017 - DAV and RecruitMilitary will produce a Veterans Job Fair at the Austin Hilton on April 6, 2017 for veterans, transitioning military personnel, National Guard members, Reserve members and spouses.
"DAV RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans and their families find meaningful employment," said President Peter Gudmundsson. "Just last year, 52% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview following a DAV RecruitMilitary job fair. Employers were expected to extend as many as 40,300 interviews and more than 12,560 job offers."
Among the companies attending the upcoming Austin event are Farmers Insurance, First Command Financial Planning, GardaWorld, Oracle Corporation, Schlumberger, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Department of Transportation and Travis County Sheriff's Office. In October of 2016, the DAV RecruitMilitary Austin event connected more than 212 veteran job seekers with 44 exhibitors including Accenture, Bed, Bath & Beyond and USHealth Advisors. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 352 interviews and make up to 121 job offers following that career fair.
RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006 and has held 12 events in Austin, drawing 3,349 attendees and 414 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country.
