DAV RecruitMilitary Greater Dallas Veterans Job Fair March 2

LOVELAND, Ohio - Feb. 3, 2017 - DAV and RecruitMilitary will produce a Veterans Job Fair at Hurst Conference Center on March 2, 2017 for veterans, transitioning military personnel, National Guard members, Reserve members and spouses. The event is sponsored by TravelCenters of America and will include nearly 60 Greater Dallas-area exhibitors.

"DAV RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans and their families find meaningful employment," said President Peter Gudmundsson. "Just last year, 56.3% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview following a DAV RecruitMilitary job fair. Employers were expected to extend as many as 38,700 interviews and more than 12,000 job offers."

Among the 59 companies attending the upcoming Greater Dallas event are Accenture, Austin Police Department, Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., Ecolab, Inc., Eli Lilly and Company, First Command Financial Planning, GardaWorld, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Farmers Insurance, Kroger, Larry H. Miller Group of Automotive Companies, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Schlumberger, TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Waste Management. In November of 2016, the DAV RecruitMilitary Dallas event connected more than 300 veteran job seekers with 74 exhibitors including American Heart Association, Inc., Fresenius Medical Care North America, Lockheed Martin Corporation and McKesson Corporation. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 759 interviews and make up to 202 job offers following that career fair.
