DAV and RecruitMilitary to Produce All Veterans Career Fair in Houston on December 1

LOVELAND, Ohio - Nov. 14, 2016 - DAV and RecruitMilitary will produce an All Veterans Career Fair at Minute Maid Park on December 1, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. USAA will present a seminar for veterans and military spouses prior to the career fair at 10:00 a.m. titled "Five Steps to Informed Financial Transition."

"RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment," said President Peter Gudmundsson. "Just last year, 56.3% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair and employers were expected to extend as many as 38,700 interviews and more than 12,000 job offers."

In September of 2016, the DAV-RecruitMilitary Houston event connected more than 573 veteran job seekers with 64 exhibitors, including Comcast, General Electric Company and McKesson Corporation. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 579 interviews and make up to 158 job offers as a result of that career fair.

RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006 and has held 33 events in Houston, drawing 15,846 attendees and 1,925 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country.
