DAV and RecruitMilitary to Produce All Veterans Career Fair in San Diego on December 1
LOVELAND, Ohio - Nov. 14, 2016 - DAV and RecruitMilitary will produce an All Veterans Career Fair at Scottish Rite Event Center on December 1, 2016. The event is sponsored by Hankook Tire and will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. USAA will present a seminar for veterans and military spouses prior to the career fair at 10:00 a.m. titled "Five Steps to Informed Financial Transition."
"RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment," said President Peter Gudmundsson. "Just last year, 56.3% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair and employers were expected to extend as many as 38,700 interviews and more than 12,000 job offers."
In August of 2016, the DAV-RecruitMilitary San Diego event connected more than 550 veteran job seekers with 58 exhibitors including McKesson Corporation, OshKosh Corporation and Lockheed Martin Corporation. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 324 interviews and make up to 121 job offers as a result of that career fair.
RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006 and has held 31 events in San Diego, drawing 12,644 attendees and 1,191 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country.
