DAV and RecruitMilitary to Produce All Veterans Career Fair in New Orleans on August 11
LOVELAND, Ohio - July 14, 2016 - PRLog -- DAV and RecruitMilitary will produce an All Veterans Career Fair at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Thursday, August 11, 2016. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
"RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment," said President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson. "Just last year, 56.3% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair and employers were expected to extend as many as 38,700 interviews and more than 12,000 job offers."
In March of 2016, the DAV-RecruitMilitary New Orleans event connected more than 305 veteran job seekers with 42 exhibitors, including Apple, Inc., PepsiCo and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 276 interviews and make up to 83 job offers as a result of that career fair.
RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006 and has held 15 events in New Orleans, drawing 4,361 attendees and 519 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country.
