DAV and RecruitMilitary to Produce All Veterans Career Fair in New England on April 7
LOVELAND, Ohio - Feb. 26, 2016 - PRLog -- DAV and RecruitMilitary will produce an All Veterans Career Fair at Gillette Stadium on Thursday, April 7, 2016. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
“RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment,” said President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson, a former Captain in the Marine Corps. “Just last year, 55% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair, and employers were expected to extend as many as 29,000 interviews and more than 9,000 job offers.”
In September of 2015, the DAV-RecruitMilitary New England event connected more than 293 veteran job seekers with 90 exhibitors, including Lockheed Martin and General Electric. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 678 interviews and make up to 194 job offers as a result of that career fair.
RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006 and has held 16 events in New England, drawing 4,360 attendees and 828 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country. RecruitMilitary will return to New England to host another event in September.
