DAV and RecruitMilitary to Produce All Veterans Career Fair in Dallas Area on February 25
LOVELAND, Ohio - Jan. 22, 2016 - PRLog -- DAV and RecruitMilitary will produce an All Veterans Career Fair at the Irving Convention Center on Thursday, February 25, 2016. USAA will sponsor the event, which will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
“RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment,” said President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson, a former Captain in the Marine Corps. “Just last year, 55% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair, and employers were expected to extend as many as 29,000 interviews and more than 9,000 job offers.”
In November of 2015, the DAV-RecruitMilitary Dallas event connected more than 416 veteran job seekers with 72 exhibitors, including Lockheed Martin, JP Morgan Chase, and The Kroger Company. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 489 interviews and make up to 194 job offers as a result of that career fair.
RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006 and has held 34 events in Dallas, drawing 16,748 attendees and 1,852 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country. RecruitMilitary will return to Dallas to host three additional veteran career fairs in 2016.
