RecruitMilitary Veteran Job Fair Coming to Richmond on February 18
“RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a solid track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment,” said President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson, a former Captain in the Marine Corps. “Just last year, 55% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair, and employers were expected to extend as many as 29,000 interviews and more than 9,000 job offers.”
In August of 2015, the RecruitMilitary Richmond event connected more than 234 veteran job seekers with 37 exhibitors, including Apple, Inc., Lockheed Martin, and FedEx. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 230 interviews and make up to 77 job offers as a result of that career fair.
RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006, and has held 6 events in Richmond, drawing 1,930 attendees and 208 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country. RecruitMilitary will return to Richmond for an additional veteran career fair in August.

In 2012, RecruitMilitary received the first annual One More Way Award from The Sierra Group Foundation. The foundation established the award to recognize people or companies whose support results in awareness of, and job opportunities for, people with disabilities.
