Our Magazine’s Gone Digital!

RecruitMilitary’s Search & Employ® magazine takes its readers to the next level with a new digital platform, making the magazine 100% mobile friendly and optimizing the user experience! “We’ve been working on this for a long time, so it is great to finally bring it to fruition,” said Elizabeth Stetler, Editor of Search & Employ®. “The new digital platform lets readers view the magazine at both page-level and content-level, which provides a great deal of flexibility for layout, navigation, and sharing capabilities.”
The digital platform features include:
MOBILE-OPTIMIZATION
To increase readership, we’ve chosen a platform that will cater to our mobile audience. Mobile-optimization ensures digital Search & Employ® editions are reliable, fast, provide a user-friendly experience, and incorporate other features from users’ phones and tablets (like swiping gestures). It simply allows the magazine to be more accessible and attractive to mobile readers.
INTUITIVE INTERFACE
Given the rise in mobile content consumption, the new platform provides an intuitive interface for readers. Its newsfeed interface, ‘Content View’, presents our content in an easy-to-consume, scrollable format that mimics the interface of an app.
SOCIAL SHARING
The platform’s share feature lets readers share links to any digital edition through email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest straight from the toolbar in the digital edition.
NARRATION
This feature gives accessibility to a disabled audience. Its text-to-speech software will be very helpful for anyone who is visually impaired or has a condition like dyslexia that makes reading on screens tricky.
