Recently the government retroactively extended the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) program for a five-year period, from December 31, 2014 through December 31, 2019. This provides an opportunity for you to receive tax credits for your 2015 new hires that are tax-credit eligible.

The Internal Revenue Service has given employers until June 29, 2016, to identify all WOTC-eligible hires made in 2015.

  • We will provide a unique URL you can email to your 2015 new-hire employees to complete a survey to determine their eligibility – or you can provide us with a CSV file with email addresses of all 2015 hires, and we will invite them directly.

  • Employees can take the survey on their personal devices or computers in less than five minutes.

Once you have the necessary data, you can use your preferred tax-credit provider, self-file, or use to help you capture those dollars – but remember that you must act before June 29.
