Search & Employ® Magazine

September / October 2012

Welcome to job seekers who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, veterans who already have civilian work experience, members of the National Guard and reserves, and military spouses and other family members. Our company’s continuing mission: to help men and women who have military backgrounds connect with clients and prospects that include employers, franchisors, and educational institutions.

We make the connections by means of the magazine you are reading, a nationwide schedule of Veteran Opportunity Expos, an all-military job board, our website at recruitmilitary.com that carries links to client sites and career pages, our own recruiting operation, presence in social media, a monthly jobs newsletter called The VetTen, and more.

How would you like to help us make the connections? We are looking for direct employees at our headquarters in Loveland, Ohio, in Greater Cincinnati—outbound sales people, a recruiter, and a marketing associate/copywriter.

  • Outbound sales people work entirely by telephone, selling exhibition space at our Expos to clients and prospects.
  • Our recruiters help employers meet their staffing needs by hiring men and women who have military backgrounds. The recruiters source, screen, and evaluate job seekers. To help us grow our recruiting service, they also establish and build relationships with employers’ hiring managers in all industries throughout the United States.
  • The marketing associate/copywriter would 1) help us market our products and services to clients and prospects, and 2) help develop and execute campaigns to encourage job seekers who have military backgrounds to register in our database at recruitmilitary.com.

If you are interested in any of these positions, please contact Larry Slagel, our senior vice president of sales, at larry@recruitmilitary.com. Also contact Larry if you would be interested in any other position with our company—we can always use outstanding national account executives, for example.

If you have not registered with us as a job seeker, I urge you to do so. Employers are constantly searching our database of job seekers, and we have more than 375,000 jobs posted on our site. In addition, active registrants receive The VetTen as well as invitations to our Expos.

Best of luck in your job search, and thank you for serving in the armed forces of the United States.
