Search & Employ® Magazine

September / October 2008

Welcome to the fourth issue of Search & Employ, the "connections" magazine for men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life. Search & Employ has a new owner, RecruitMilitary, but its mission remains the same: to help military job seekers connect with veteran-friendly employers.

This issue focuses on job opportunities with the United States government. On these pages, you will find valuable information on agencies that work in border and transportation security, emergency preparedness and response, biological and medical sciences, engineering and computer science, law enforcement, intelligence, and other fields. Employers throughout the government, and throughout Corporate America, are eager to find people who can lead and work in teams, people who are disciplined and can get the job done—people like you!

Search & Employ contains not only feature articles to help you in your transition but also snippets of specific job descriptions. We have listed the job opportunities by job category to make it easy to find a sample of jobs in your field or industry of choice. To find additional listings, just register as a job seeker at www.recruitmilitary.com and www.destinygroup.com. There, you will find thousands of jobs posted by military friendly employers looking for people like you. Also on the sites are announcements by educational institutions that can help you qualify for a great career, along with links to franchisors that can set you up in business as an entrepreneur.

When you register, you will join our vast databases, which are searchable by recruiters and hiring managers across the country. Do not miss this free opportunity to get your resume in front of key decision-makers.

We hope that you find Search & Employ helpful in your job hunt. We at RecruitMilitary care deeply about the mission of the magazine—in large measure because of our own military backgrounds. All of our owners, search consultants, and account executives are either veterans or active or former reservists. Please let us know how we are doing.

Thank you for serving in the armed forces of the United States. Best of luck in your job search!
