RecruitMilitary to Present Civilian Jobs/Opportunities Expo for Veterans in Houston on August 4
Houston, TX (PR Log) July 5, 2011 – RecruitMilitary, a military-to-civilian recruiting firm, will present a free civilian employment, business-ownership, and education Opportunity Expo for job seekers who have military backgrounds at Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros, on Thursday, August 4. CenterPoint Energy (http://centerpointenergy.com) will sponsor and exhibit at the event. RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.
RecruitMilitary and CenterPoint expect more than 35 employers, franchisors, and educational institutions to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Already signed up are AutoNation, Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Baker Hughes, the Baytown Police Department, Belhaven University, CenterPoint Energy, Cruise One/Cruises Inc., DeVry University, Enterprise Products, FFE Transportation Services, GE Oil and Gas, Goodman Manufacturing Company LP, Grand Canyon University, ICDC College, McLane Advanced Technologies, Military Sealift Command, Mustang Cat, My Computer Career, Nalco Energy Services—Downstream, Plastipak Packaging Inc., St. Thomas University, SGS North America Inc., Silver Eagle Distributors, Snap-On Tools, Strayer University, TMK IPSCO, TMX Finance, The Art Institutes, The Kroger Company, The Michigan Institute of Aviation, Troops to Teachers, and World Inspection Network International.
RecruitMilitary (http://www.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (http://www.legion.org), an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.4 million members in nearly 14,000 posts throughout the world. Congress chartered the association in 1919.
RecruitMilitary has scheduled 29 additional Expos for 2011.
