RecruitMilitary to Present Civilian Jobs/Opportunities Expo for Veterans in Chicago on May 19
Chicago, IL (PR Log) April 15, 2011 – RecruitMilitary, a military-to-civilian recruiting firm, will present a free civilian employment, business-ownership, and education Opportunity Expo for job seekers who have military backgrounds on the Chicago Campus of DeVry University on Thursday, May 19. RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.
The company expects more than 30 employers, franchisors, and educational institutions to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Already signed up are Amtrak, Argosy University, AutoNation, Bank of America, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, CDW, Cornerstone Senior, Cruise One/Cruises, Inc., DeVry University, Directions Training, Goodman Manufacturing Company LP, Grand Canyon University, Insight, Invenergy LLC, Merchant’s Tire and National Tire & Battery, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), the National Veterans Employment Program (NVEP) of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, New Horizons Learning Center, Prudential Insurance Company, Sara Lee, Service Express, Snap-On Tools, TCF Financial Corporation, The Art Institutes, 20/20 Companies, USAA, and Woodward MPC.
RecruitMilitary (www.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (http://www.legion.org), an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.4 million members in nearly 14,000 posts throughout the world. Congress chartered the association in 1919.
RecruitMilitary has scheduled 39 additional Expos for 2011. Those events will take place in Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago (on October 13), Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York, Norfolk, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Richmond, St. Louis, San Diego, San Jose, Tacoma, Tampa, and Washington.
