RecruitMilitary to Present Civilian Jobs/Opportunities Expo for Veterans in Washington on March 17
Washington, D.C. (PR Log) February 14, 2011 – RecruitMilitary, a military-to-civilian recruiting firm, will present a free civilian employment, entrepreneurship, and education Opportunity Expo for job seekers who have military backgrounds at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel on Thursday, March 17. RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.
The company expects more than 30 employers, franchisors, and educational institutions to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Already signed up are Accenture, Army Team C4ISR APG, Black Box Network Services, Capital One, Columbia Southern University, Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration, DeVry University, District of Columbia Army National Guard, First Command Financial Planning, Grand Canyon University, HouseMaster Home Inspections, International Yacht Restoration School, Limestone College, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, Merchant’s Tire and National Tire & Battery, Nalco Energy Services—Downstream, Niitek, Pepco Holdings Inc., Raytheon MOS, Snap-On Tools, The Art Institutes, The Home Depot, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), USAA, and Verizon Wireless.
RecruitMilitary (www.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (http://www.legion.org), an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.4 million members in nearly 14,000 posts throughout the world. Congress chartered the association in 1919.
RecruitMilitary has scheduled 51 additional Expos for 2011. Those events will take place in Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York, Norfolk, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Richmond, St. Louis, San Diego, San Jose, Tacoma, Tampa, and Washington (on June 23).
