Jobs, Business, and Education Event for Veterans Coming to Turner Field in Atlanta on February 24
Atlanta, GA (PR Log) January 24, 2011 – Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves, will be the site of a free Opportunity Expo for men and women who have military backgrounds on Thursday, February 24. The producer of the event, Cincinnati-based RecruitMilitary, LLC, is inviting personnel who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, veterans who already have civilian work experience, members of the National Guard and reserves, and their spouses. The job seekers will interview with corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, franchisors, and educational institutions. The Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
RecruitMilitary expects more than 30 organizations to attend. Already scheduled are Accenture, Auto Nation, Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Columbia Southern University, Combined Insurance, DeVry University, First Command Financial Planning, Geo Group Inc., Grand Canyon University, Homeland Security Solutions Inc., HouseMaster Home Inspections, ICDC College, Lowe’s Companies Inc., Military Sealift Command, Service Express, SGS North America Inc., 6th Marine Corps District Prior Service Recruiting, Strayer University, T-Mobile, The Art Institutes, and UEI College.
RecruitMilitary (www.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (www.legion.org), an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.4 million members in nearly 14,000 posts throughout the world. Congress chartered the organization in 1919.
