RecruitMilitary to Present Civilian Jobs/Opportunities Expo for Veterans in Tampa on January 20

Tampa, FL (PR Log) December 20, 2010 – RecruitMilitary, a military-to-civilian recruiting firm, will present a free civilian employment, entrepreneurship, and education Opportunity Expo for job seekers who have military backgrounds at Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa on Thursday, January 20. RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.

The company expects more than 30 employers, franchisors, and educational institutions to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Already signed up are A Buyers Choice Home Inspections, American Intercontinental University, the Army National Guard, FastTrain, Florida Career College, Gerdau Ameristeel, Grand Canyon University, the Healthcare Administration of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, ICDC College, LaSalle Learning Center, Merchant’s Tire and National Tire & Battery, Plastipak Packaging, Inc., Progressive Insurance Corporation, Pure Air Technologies, Inc., 6th Marine Corps Prior Service Recruiting, Strayer University, and USAA.

RecruitMilitary (www.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (http://www.legion.org), an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.7 million members in nearly 15,000 posts throughout the world. Congress chartered the association in 1919.

RecruitMilitary has scheduled 59 additional Expos for 2011. Those events will take place in Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Norfolk, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Richmond, St. Louis, San Antonio, San Diego, San Jose, Tacoma, Tampa (on September 1), and Washington.
