Jobs, Business, and Education Event for Veterans Coming to Indianapolis on November 18
Indianapolis, IN (PR Log) October 18, 2010 – The Indianapolis Museum of Art will be the site of a free Opportunity Expo for military veterans and other men and women with military backgrounds on Thursday, November 18. The producer of the event, Cincinnati-based RecruitMilitary, LLC, is inviting personnel who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, veterans who already have civilian work experience, members of the National Guard and reserves, and their spouses. The job seekers will interview with corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, franchisors, educational institutions, and veterans service organizations. The Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
RecruitMilitary expects more than 25 organizations to attend. Already scheduled are ACS (a Xerox company), Alcoa Indiana, Amazon, Brown Mackie College, DeVry University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Indianapolis Police, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Limestone College, Lincoln College of Technology, Mike’s Express Car Wash, National College, Packers Sanitation, Prudential Insurance Company, Service Express, United States Customs and Border Protection, and University of Phoenix.
RecruitMilitary (www2.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion, an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.7 million members in nearly 15,000 posts throughout the world. Congress chartered the organization in 1919.
RecruitMilitary has scheduled six additional Veteran Opportunity Expos for 2010 and 60 Expos for 2011. The events will take place in Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Norfolk, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Richmond, St. Louis, San Antonio, San Diego, San Jose, Tacoma, Tampa, and Washington.
