RecruitMilitary Schedules Free Veteran Opportunity Expo for Philadelphia on November 11
Philadelphia, PA (PR Log) October 11, 2010 – The military-to-civilian recruiting firm RecruitMilitary will present a free employment, business-opportunity, and education event for job seekers who have military backgrounds in Philadelphia on Thursday, November 11. This event, the RecruitMilitary Opportunity Expo, will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. The event will be open to veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members.
RecruitMilitary (www.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Opportunity Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (http://www.legion.org).
The Opportunity Expo will be the 66th of 74 such events set for 2010. A large array of veteran-friendly organizations will conduct one-on-one interviews with the job seekers—organizations that will include corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, franchisors, and educational institutions. Already in the line-up are the Air Force Reserve, Amtrak, DeVry University, Eastern University, First Marine Corps District, Herr Foods, Inc., Lincoln College of Technology, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Military Sealift Command, New York Life, the Philadelphia VA Medical Center of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Prudential, Quest Diagnostics, Inc., TD Bank, NA, 20/20 Companies, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the United States Department of Justice, the University of Pittsburgh, Verizon Wireless, and Waste Management.;
RecruitMilitary has scheduled 8 additional Veteran Opportunity Expos for 2010 and 60 Expos for 2011. The events will take place in Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Norfolk, Philadelphia (on March 31, July 28, and November 3, 2011), Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Richmond, St. Louis, San Antonio, San Diego, San Jose, Tacoma, Tampa, and Washington.
