RecruitMilitary Schedules Free Veteran Opportunity Expo for Tacoma on November 11
Tacoma, WA (PR Log) October 11, 2010 – The military-to-civilian recruiting firm RecruitMilitary will present a free employment, business-opportunity, and education event for job seekers who have military backgrounds in Tacoma on Thursday, November 11. This event, the RecruitMilitary Opportunity Expo, will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center. The event will be open to veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members.
The Opportunity Expo will be the 67th of 74 such events set for 2010. A large array of veteran-friendly organizations will conduct one-on-one interviews with the job seekers—organizations that will include corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, franchisors, and educational institutions. Already in the line-up are Argosy University, Army ROTC at Pacific Lutheran University, the Bureau of Land Management, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, Columbia Southern University, DeVry University, IADT, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Military Sealilft Command, Nalco Energy Services—Downstream, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Northrop Grumman, PDR Distributing, Port of Seattle Police Department, Remote Imagery Technologies, Inc., Snap-On Tools, The Art Institutes, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Verizon Wireless, and Xe Company.
RecruitMilitary (www.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Opportunity Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (http://www.legion.org), an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.7 million members in nearly 15,000 posts throughout the world. Congress chartered The American Legion in 1919.
RecruitMilitary has scheduled 7 additional Veteran Opportunity Expos for 2010 and 60 Expos for 2011.
